Before going ahead to ”How To Generate Traffic Through Reddit” let’s throw some light on what is Reddit?
So it would be better to understand!
What is Reddit?
Reddit is an American social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. Reddit’s registered community members can submit content such as text posts or direct links. In this, I have been showing the few points you should keep in mind while using Reddit that will help you in generating good traffic to your website
Reddit.com is a website that was started in June of 2005.
Despite being just 10 years old, it is currently one of the biggest sites on the Internet. You should also know how to generate traffic through Reddit.
How TO Generate Traffic Through Reddit
Everything on Reddit is driven by “karma,” which is the individual positive and negative point (called upvotes and downvotes) given and received by each member of the site.
Every link or discussion posted on the site can be voted on by everyone. Everyone’s vote counts for the same amount, so it’s essentially a democratic process. An upvote means that you believe it’s a good post, while a downvote means the opposite.
Submissions with the highest score (upvotes minus downvotes) will rise to the top. However, there’s one more factor that controls the flow of submissions: timing.
Newer posts don’t need as high of a score as older posts to rise up in the rankings. This keeps the content from growing stale.
Don’t Ever Let Your First Post be a Promotion
This should go without saying, but if you’re new to a subreddit, be sure to post a few other things in that there first before you decide to promote anything of your own. I made this point short since the last one was so long.
choose A Relevant Subreddit
One of Reddit’s most powerful features is the “subreddit.” It’s basically a topic section where users can discuss just anything you can think of. For instance, there’s a subreddit called “Business” where users post links, text, or tidbits of business advice.
Think about who your audience is before you decide what subreddit to engage with. If you have a blog about food, the “Food” subreddit might be the perfect place for you to post relevant content. Fashion brands can leverage topics like the StreetWear subreddit, and tech companies can use the Tech subreddit. Get it? There’s a search bar on the right-hand corner of Reddit’s site where you can explore any topic of your choosing.
Follow the Rules — Or Be Banned
WARNING: Do not blatantly advertise on Reddit. Reddit is about the consumer, not the business. People want quality content, not advertisements. If you sell food products, blog about different things you can do with food. Post them on Reddit as advice columns and not advertisements. In this way, you won’t be banned from using the site. Keep in mind, every subreddit has its own rules, so be mindful of all of them
Keep It Relevant
If you want to get large amounts of traffic from Reddit, you have to keep your posts highly relevant to the users.
This means that the more that you can tailor your posts to the subreddit that you’re posting in, the better. Avoid posting content that addresses too broad of an audience.
This requires you to do a little bit of research into your subreddit and see what kinds of posts are already popular. Get a feel for your audience there. Then you will be more equipped to create a popular post of your own.
If the end goal of your site is to sell a product or get subscribers, you will need to do some customer development first.
This will ensure that you’re in touch with what your audience wants while saving you a ton of time in the long run.
Only Post Great Content
Only post your best content on Reddit!
Short and generic content will not perform well. It will also get down-voted and you’ll lose any valuable reputation points (karma) that you have.
Only post content that is in-depth, unique, well-written, helpful and actionable. Wherever you post your article, Reddit users are going to click on it to check it out. What they think of it (either upvote or down vote) will dictate your results.

First, you need to create an account. Just click on the link (at the top of any page) to create a new account: It’s a very simple signup process. The hardest part will be finding a unique username. You’re welcome to include your name or part of your business name if you’d like, but you can also choose a completely random name—it doesn’t matter.

When you first log in, you’ll see that your inbox icon is lit up because you got your first message.
You automatically get a message with some basic information and links (I do recommend you read the site rules). If you haven’t validated your email address yet, click the link in the message to do so:
All new accounts are pretty limited in what you can do with them. You can only post a comment once every 10 minutes and submit something once or twice an hour.
When you validate your email address, the limits are relaxed, but they’re still there.
